3-day tour with coffee fazenda and Paratí

Pick up at the airport or at your hotel in Rio and drive north to the former coffee region in the highlands of Rio de Janeiro. We visit Vassouras, the one-time center of the coffee plantations. This charming city still contains many examples of baroque and colonial architecture. Then you are accommodated in an elegant, spacious lodge surrounded by pastures and rainforest. A hearty lunch follows. In the afternoon visit to a manufacturing coffee fazenda. Spend the rest of the day on the terrace or at the pool with a cocktail. Moreover, there is the possibility of riding and hiking in the rainforest. In the evening, again an excellent Brazilian meal is served.

Next morning drive through the magnificent Serra do Mar, whose curvy, dramatic road is lined by dense tropical vegetation. In the early afternoon arrival in Paraty, the romantic Portuguese gold port. Accommodation in a handsome Pousada in the car-free town, followed by a pleasant city tour on foot. Spend the rest of the afternoon on the beach or by the pool, and look on, as the moon rises from the water. Parati has elegant shops and restaurants.

Morning trip with a beautiful wooden boat or schooner in the paradise-like island world off the coast of Paratí. Swim with fish, and rest on remote islands with tropical restaurants.
